MARRIED!!!

May 21, 2011 was the day that I officially became Mrs. Kyle Lawson.  The weather was beautiful except for the wind and my photographer did an AMAZING job orchestrating the day!  I've seen some of the pictures and can't wait until they become mine to do what I want with them!  Here's one of my favorites..

The wedding party made that day happen too!  Between the bridesmaids and the parents we got everything to go so smoothly!!!

Everything was beautiful and when I get steady internet I'm sure I will be able to go into more detail about my big day!  We have quite a story to tell about our honeymoon experience too!  Stay tuned...

6 days..

While working on my music playlists for the wedding, I found myself listening to "Chapel of Love."  Oh my goodness.  I am getting married on SATURDAY!!!  I cannot believe it.  And what's even more unbelievable is the fact that I will be working from 7:30-4:30 every day until Friday.  How is a bride supposed to put finishing touches on her wedding if she's going to come home every night ready to fall on her pillow until morning?! Good thing my momma is so wonderful and knows what's going on!!!  She will be my only hope this week..

That being said, I still LOVE my new job!  It's sad though when you find yourself singing Itsy Bitsy Spider all day because it's stuck in your head from being with 3 and 4-year-olds all week.

I don't know if anyone actually reads my posts, but if anybody from my OC experience reads this, I am glad that I am overcoming what our professors decided about me.  My confidence has started to rebuild so hopefully things continue to work out.

Anyway, I have many things to get done before I get to sleep tonight.  Hopefully I will be able to post again before the wedding to express my excitement and how nervous I am...

a new start with child start

I started my new job today.  It was a loooooonnnnng day for sure.  I work in a classroom with 3 and 4 year olds as an assistant teacher.  I was worried that as an "assistant" teacher that I would be treated as the errand-runner and doing all of the lead teacher's dirty work.  This wasn't the case.  My lead teacher is a younger girl with a great sense of fashion and a wonderful personality!  I was impressed.  It's going to be an interesting experience though.  The commute is the worst part.  It takes an hour and a half to get there from my house.  I absolutely cannot wait to move after the wedding!  It will cut the drive in half.  It was nice to be treated like an adult rather than a college student who knows nothing.  I was treated as though I actually knew something about childcare and I loved it.

I'm getting worried that I'm really not going to be able to finish all of my wedding plans.  I have a list of five different business phone numbers that I will have to call during my lunch break tomorrow.  I have to stop at the flower shop to leave my proposal after I get home from Wichita.  Then I'm off to get my hair practiced on again.  Ugh...is it over yet? haha...

12 days.

dizzy!!!

IT'S GETTING SO CLOSE!!  I am having a hard time facing the reality of how close the wedding truly is.  It just kinda hit me a few minutes ago.  I start my job on Monday and time is going to fly so fast!  I won't have any more time to go different places to straighten things out.  Everything will have to be done over the phone on lunch breaks now.  There's still SOOOO much to do!!  We haven't even ordered our flowers yet.  The shop told us to wait until after Mother's Day to order our flowers to avoid the crowd.  Our wedding favors still need to have ribbons tied to them and I need to recruit my darling flower girls to come help me out.  Looking at the checklist that the Knot's website gives me really stresses me out!  I haven't followed that thing one bit.

Anyway, I could spend all day writing about how stressed I am but there are other things I should be doing since I'm running out of time.

it's a wonderful life!

Yesterday my mom and I drove two hours to OKC to deliver the bridesmaids' dresses to each of them!  After Rachel tried on a dress that didn't fit right the other day, I felt like I should hurry and get them to everybody so we can check!  It turns out that two of the four bridesmaids have dresses that won't be needing fixed but there are still the other two needing something done.  These are small alterations though so I don't think it should take too long.  I sure hope not anyway!  The dresses are beautiful on every one of these girls though.  They all loved the pockets for sure!!  I wish my wedding dress had pockets..haha.

Being back in Edmond yesterday made me miss it to an extent.  I hated being away from my dinky little Kansas hometown while I was there but now I miss the friends that I had there.  I'm just one of those people who can never be fully satisfied I guess!  Life sure does change quickly for me!  That being said, I couldn't be happier than I am at this time.  I'm getting married in 2 1/2 weeks to a Christian man who would give me the world if he could.  It's a wonderful life!

P.S.-I took advantage of being in Edmond yesterday by going to ROSS!  I miss that place..  I found a dress for dinners on our cruise and a swimsuit coverup!  I'm ready...
